hi, i install mysql 3.22.32 in redhat 9 , by using command rpm -i filename.rpm ....however , it generate load of errors ..

fails to install the grant tables and terminates after displaying the following messages:

Starting mysqld daemon with databases from /var/lib/mysql
mysqld ended


i checked the error file ...it show nothing but

mysqld start
mysqld end ...
..
..
repeat

what is the problem ? need your help urgent and thks in advance
