time zones...

Greetings to all,

I've a site hosted on a US-based server and when I've date and time insertions, these are the dates and times of the US (Western time). So it's still 9 April in the US whereas it's already 10 April in my country's (Signapore's) time.

Is there a way to tell mysql to use Eastern dates and times? I'm using perl dbi. Perhaps there's a way to do it with perl or something?

Thanks in advance
