Hi there,

I have just installed Apache2/PHP onto my laptop as a test server. I have also installed MySQL - all seems to be fine.

I am now testing it through command prompt and the following error has appeared.

d:/mysql/bin>mysql -uroot -proot mysql
ERROR 1045: Access denied for user: 'root@localhost' [USING PASSWORD 'YES']

Can anyone help me with this please?

Another thing - at the command prompt:

D:\mysql\bin>mysqladmin version status proc
