Views in MySQL

Hi there,

Does MySQL support views ? I have been receiving conflicting messages. Some people say it does, other say it doesn't.

No, current version (including alpha) does not support views. Views are planned in 5.1 release.

Thanks for the reply. It explains all the confusion. Does anyone know when version 5.1 is due out for release ? Is it weeks/months/years ?
