HDBC1 does not connect to database

Hello there,

I have this utility software that runs on XP and SQL2000. Due to some problems I decided to uninstall it, reformatted the harddrive, thus when all the shit hit the fan.

error message"hdbc1 cannot connect to database".

if this message does not appear, then, "hdbc cannot connect to database or access denied."

To say that I am desparate is out of wont of a proper word and that I am in serous trouble is an understatement.

Somebody please help
