Ready to learn

Hello everyone my name is Ron and I am fairly new to the database scene. I work as the IT guy for a Collectibles shop where I perform computer and network maint. on roughly 10 user machines and a couple of servers. I have recently been tasked with learning a bit about sql and the processes behind emplementing a database. We have an access db that was created long ago before I was part of the company and it works fairly well but we are outgrowing it in functionality so we are building a new system with sql and have had difficulty with getting it to work as the old system did. I am here to be able to learn a little and ask a few questions.
