Question Like a Library

HI!

My boss at work have asked me to do a database "Library", where we list all our products.
Everyone in the team should be able to easily check them in and out.

I thought about a "simple" button. when clicked, it changes text from ,"Borrow" To "Borrowed by Name at 11-10-11".
And another button where He/Her would click "return" leaving a text behind "Returned by Name at Date".

With a log where everyone can see who borrowed what and when it got returned.

Im trying to do all this in Microsoft Access, because it's all we have here and the company. But the button and log are'nt at simple as i thought.

Do anyone have any pointers? or a link to a similar template, so that i can see how someone else solved it!

Thank you!
