Hey guys,

Just wanted to introduce myself. I've spent the last 5 years as a PHP/MySQL developer/MySQL DBA working for a large company. I recently got a new job at a small startup, where I'm the only programmer/dba. While I love the new job, I miss having peers to collaborate with on problems. So, I've been looking for a community to be active in to fill that void.

DBforums looks like a good fit for me... I'm hoping the wide array of database topics covered here will allow me to broaden my knowledge a bit. Hopefully I can be of some help to you all as well.
