Hi everyone,

i have an issue with import in oracle 8i. while am trying to import into oracle 8i database
its giving an error like "imp-00009 abnormal end of export file segmentation fault"

i have used the export file of 8i version only and which was successfully exported file.

can anyone pl help me why i got this error?

Your dump file may be corrupt.

This normally happens when you ftp the dump file as "text" and not as "binary". If this is the case, ftp again using the "binary" option. If this is NOT the case, then your dump file may be corrupt.

Maybe you do get "lucky".
