Transfer data from excel file to oracle 10g

All,

I would like to transfer data from an excel file to a table of oracle 10g database.
The file is having 160 columns.

I can not use SQL*Loader due to some operation issue and also want to avoid External table.

Could you please advise me any other solution for the same?

Thanks with Regards,
JD

Excel can connect directly to Oracle RDBMS via ODBC & then issue SQL against DB.
Oracle Client software must be installed on system running Excel.
This solution is completely a MicroSoft centric solution, because database does not know or care about the flavor of client.
