thousands upon thousands of folks have successfully installed Oracle RDBMS by RTFM.

>any other solution accept menual of installation,,??
install/load Virtual Machine which already has Oracle installed & included.

Hi Pal,
I've got the same problem before.

12560 ORA TNS Protocol adapter Error, show when I was using SQL PLUS.

And I do this:

Go To Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > Then Search 'OracleServiceXE' in 'Services' windows, Right Click On it, and select "Start".

Solved for me.

May it helps.

I use Windows 7.

Are you sure that you've downloaded the appropriate version?
Here: Oracle Database Software Downloads
I see that there are 2 installation kits: 10g R2 for Windows and 10g R2 (10.2.0.3/10.2.0.4) for Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008 and Windows 7
