Oracle 11g client problem
Hi ,
I want to install 11g oracle client. I have encountered a problem.Problem related path error during the install application. After that I checked "ignore all" and I pressed "next" button finally application installed. I want to make regedit configuration for Oracle. when I open the Regedit>HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>.. But doesn't show any "Oracle" folder. What I missed ? Any idea of this problem?

If I were you, I'd uninstall Oracle (if possible), delete its home (i.e. directory into which it was "installed"), find Oracle in registry and delete its entries (if any). Then I'd do clean installation. If you, however, choose to fix registry manually and make Oracle run correctly, well, good luck!

By the way, which operating system do you use? Is it certified with Oracle version you plan to install?

I using Windows 7.I downloaded Oracle Database 11g Release 2 Client (11.2.0.1.0) for Microsoft Windows (32-bit) from
I tried to clean Oracle for reinstall but it doesn't show program list.After that I tried for install C:/ .This time error message "program already installed".

which Edition of Windows 7?

windows 7 home premium.
Is there a big difference between editions?

No Oracle product is certified on any Windows Home Edition.
I do not believe it is possible to successfully install & run Oracle V11.2 on Windows 7 Home Edition.

Which Windows 7 edition should I use? Is there any link for certificated Operating Systems list.
