We have developed an Oracle Client that uses Oracle OLE DB Provider 8.1.7.3 to communicate with an Oracle 8.1.7 Server. Now I wanted to install this client on several PC's. On those PC's there is already an ORA 8.0.x HOME directory and the Oracle installer does not allow to install 8i components into an existing 8.0.x Oracle HOME directory. Al I need is the OLE DB Provider, nothing else. Doeas anybody know a workaround to install the ORA OLE DB Provider 8.1.7.3 into an existing ORA 8.0.x HOME directory ?
Or where can I get an ORA OLE DB Provider 8.0.x ? Messgae form ORacle was, that this version is o longer supported.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
