Oracle 8.1.7, Redhat 7.3 NO Xfree86 Install

I had stumbled across a link quite a while ago on how to install oracle on linux without Xwindows installed. I cant find it now that I actually need it.

I was wondering if anyone has the same link or a simillar one or has done such an installation.

thanks

Re: Oracle 8.1.7, Redhat 7.3 NO Xfree86 Install

There is a so called 'silent install' possible with the runInstaller.
If you create a correct control-file it doesn't use any X11.
But imho it's easier to do a connect from any Computer with an X11 and redirect the DISPLAY-variable to this X11-Server.
