I went to oracle home page and don't find any patches for oracle products....

Only who pay metalink has rights to download patches?

I am not 100% sure that my following statements are correct .. but they seem logical to me.

Purchasing support and updates is necessary to receive support and updates from Oracle. Patches fall under the support and update categories. MetaLink is the main support interface. So, anyone who has purchased support will have access to both MetaLink and patches.

What I am not sure about is if there is a way to download patches without using MetaLink.

Additions and corrections highly encouraged.
