Can someone please point me to a link, or links, that will explain, from the basics, what HASH_JOIN and NESTED_LOOPS are?

I've taken the Oracle PL/SQL, and am currently taking the Oracle DBA course (both at community colleges using Oracle text and materials), but neither have gone into this, and when I inquire about it, I'm told to go look out on the web.

But I end up with either sites about hash (the joinT type, not the join), or end up in an ongoing discussion that started assuming everyone knew what that was.
