Oracle 9.2 Sqlnet with AIX Ip Aliasing

We are trying to set up Oracle 9.2 on AIX 5.1 working with IP aliasing for VCS. When listener is listening on a virtual IP, we can tnsping the instance but when we tried to connect with sqlplus (even from the same host), we got TNS error (ORA-ERR 12514): server cannot resolve SERVICE.

Does anyone know whether Oracle 92 Net works on AIX IP aliasing? Doe sit work on Solaris 8? Anyone has ORacle 92 runs on VCS on AIX?

Please help. Thanks.
