Hi,

Can anyone please give some information on replication
and how to use it.
Any advise would be useful and of great help.

I have been using Oracle Advanced replication for almost 4 years. The documentation is OK, but I would highly recommend taking the Oracle Advanced replication class. It is a very intense 5 day class, or was when I took it. Additionally, it was the most useful Oracle class I have taken.

There are a lot of different ways to do replication and various scenarios where you can't use replication. About half the people in attendance had attempted replication without taking the class and thier attempts were a waste. It was actually very intersting seeing their eyes light up when we covered topics that they could use to fix their problems.

In any case, Replication is way too complex to learn in a newsgroup.
