Unhappy Problems during migration from Oracle 8.0 to 8.1.7

I have two SAP instances on the same machine. In the middle of the first migration (during odma migration) ODMA says that the database is not connected.
We have surched out the problem and we realized that it happen because we don't have enoght shared memory in this machine.
Someone have anyidea about what to do in this case?

Thanks a lot for your attention

More Info Please

Unless you specify what your machine is there is not much we can help with ?

Assuming Unix or Linux though....

You need to check with Oracle's requirements for your SPECIFIC machine. see OTN or Metalink..

Then alter the Kernel settings for SHMIN SHMAX or similar settings and recompile / rebuild the Kernel for your machine.

Reboot the machine on successful rebuild and then you should be OK.

Offcourse this all assumes that you have sufficient memory in your machine for your OS and Oracle and anything else your server is running.
