HI,

Can any one help me how to install Oracle8i in Windows me, we read some stuff on net we are able to install but it is giving lot of problems to startm, becuase we don't have the control of start and stop the servies like Win2000. When we installed 8i on WIndows Xp we had the same issue and we started the service in some order and it is working(AUto to manual e.t.c).

Can one tell the issue and solutions please.

Presumably you are talking Oracle Client under Windows ME?

If so then what version of Oracle 8.1.?.?

Trying to install Client becuase server will run automatic when
the mechine starts right.
