Pro*C and core dump

The sample Pro*C programs in the /opt/oracle/product/8.1.7/precomp/demo/proc folder are compiling sucessfully withount any warning /error message.At the time of running
(under Sun solaris environment) the Pro*C executable programs, a core dump file is created. Could anyone help me out with this problem?
