Oracle Management Server

How do I start/use Oracle Managemet Server using Oracle 9i? It appears to be installed (according to the installer), but many tools on the Enterprise management console say the Management server needs to be started before I can use them, so apparently its not started. But I cant find anything that simply tells me how to start it, am i not seeing something?

You have to configure it first. The configuration utility, emca, will allow you to create a repository and will configure everything so when you start the management server it will connect to the specified repository. Read through the Oracle Enterprise Manager Configuration Guide, it will guide you through the process.
