Hi

I am having dreadfull trouble trying to set up a connection on my laptop to a database that I created in ingres, called testdb.

I have entered the following:

Type of connection: Database JDBC connection
JDBC Driver: ca.edbc.jdbc.EdbcDriver
JDBC URL: jdbc:edbc:\\localhost:II7\testdb

But when I click 'test' I get the message:

General problem : null
Check your user name and password. Be sure the DBMS is running.

Ingres is running and I haven't set up my database with any password.

Any help would be most appreciated.
