Error when starting VDB 5.7

When starting Visual DB 5.7, I get this:
"Error: File does not exist: BUTTONS.CC" with an OK button below.

If I press "OK" VDB runs fine but then in the Inspector window "properties" tab the pull-down menu "+" sign, does not work. When I click on it I get no pull-down selections.

I do not know if these problems are related or not.

Any ideas.?
