Question VistaDB - Anyone have experience with it?

Hey all,
I recently came across the file-based VistaDB (www.vistadb.net) from a banner link (yes I clicked on it - I was curious!) and it seems to be quite a database indeed, does anyone have experience with it? It seems like it could be much better than Access for a number of reasons, but of course not as large as something like Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server, etc. - Perfect size for the websites I normally work with.

Supports transactions, stored procedures, millions of records, standard data types, supposedly fast, great for ASP.NET (which I use) as it was sort of designed with the idea of ASP.NET in mind, and so many other features for something so inexpensive.

If you have any information or critiques of it, I'd love to know! It seems almost the perfect fit, but I'd hate to move to something without learning much about it.

Thanks!

Just some quick answers...

VistaDB has a good following of users. Here are a few testimonials and
you can read and post questions directly on our VistaDB Pre-Sales forum too.

That's exactly the focus of VistaDB, to replace Jet.

yes.

Stored procs are not support today in 2.0.
We plan to have this in 3.0 early 2005.

the thing that makes VistaDB nice for ASP.NET is that you can just
upload the engine (VistaDB20.DLL and VistaDB.Provider.DLL) up to your
web site, grant some read/write permissions to your database and your done.
