Major Responsibilities include:
The DBA manager is accountable to Information Engineering and client application management for the delivery of database design, performance and monitoring of Oracle, MS SQL, Teradata databases, database tools and services. This position provides expert advice and direction in Database technologies and disciplines; which include Database Administration, Database Design and Development for transactional, reporting and warehouse system solutions. Leadership is accountable for establishing and implementing technical Database technology directions, standards and procedures that will optimize database architectures, reliability and performance for all clients and customers.
This manager will lead a DBA team of 6+ employees plus contractors for Brand, Data Warehousing and various MS SQL server systems that include GID Legacy production support.

Minimum Qualifications are:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or MIS
Minimum of at least 5-7 years of application and information systems and support and development experience with at least 5 years directing projects or organizations in a diverse complex computing environment.
Excellent resource planning skills, project estimating and resourcing, people management in a shared services environment
Business planning and implementation skills and knowledge of project life cycle methodologies.
Good negotiation skills and ability to effectively resolve conflicting priorities from multiple customers.
Flexible and adaptable to changing technologies and business requirements.
Strong knowledge of all complex database management system technology, tools and methodologies and their applicability to solving business problems that results in information accessibility to GAP business partners and application development
Experience supporting or managing Data Warehouse, especially Teradata.
