DB Programming connecting via TCP/IP question

Hi! I got a problem, What I want to do is connect to the Database via (LAN)IP address, let say the path would be "192.168.0.10\Database\sample.mdb", the problem is I don't know how to configure it on a Server, how to share the database via TCP/IP.

I searched a lot through websites but still can't find the answer, I hope there's someone can help me about this problem. Thanks in advance!

You might find it easier to get ananswer if you liet slip which database you are using, where you are hitting this problem (ie what environment (web/java/php/.NET/VB/VC++ etc)

I'd like to do this on Visual Basic 6.0, probably the database would be Microsoft Access, so any solutions?
