My name is mike and this is my first post. I am an MBA student at Chico State.
My company is reevaluating our database, currently an Oracle shop, and I am interested in Ingres. So I was asked to do due dilligence for Ingres. It seems like there are a lot of knowledgeable people in this forum that may be able and willing to help.
So if you are familiar with Ingres 2006 and have a minute to reply I would appreciate. I need to know the good, the bad and the ugly. Specifically about performance, transaction processing, reliability and the ease of migration from Oracle.

Actually I'm new to Ingres too, I have downloaded Ingres2006 from ingres site and did some elementry task like creating, deleting, Updating etc.
