database size limits

I have been searching the internet extensively to find information comparing Pervasive SQL V8 to SQL server 2000, but information is very scarce.

What are the database size limits for both Pervasive SQL V8 and SQL server 2000? Non biased references to articles or a case study would be helpful.
Thank you.

Per SQL Server Books online, in the section titles maximum capacity specifications, the max possible database size is 1,048,516 TB. As to the practical limits, that I don't know. In February, 2002, Dell discusses testing multi-terrabyte (up to 4 TB) instances here. (Downloadable doc file)
