SPSS compatibility: database selection advice?

Hi,

Does anyone know of a particular database management software that allows easy export of tables to SPSS? I am looking for a system that is able to export variable labels and value labels automatically.

I have over a thousand variables, so when the data needs to be exported to SPSS for analysis, it becomes tedious having to manually copy-paste variable labels and value labels.

Your inputs will be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
