Opinions on alternate platforms - Netezza & Teradata

Any opinion or insight into these two DBs??

-----------

I'm a Sr. Ops Mgr/DB SME of a project that currently includes MSSQL

However, I'm also adopting a new project that uses Netezza
and will be working on one with Teradata.

Now, I've worked on most of databases over the years.
However, Netezza is new to me and Teradata I've only touched on.

I would value the perspective of our esteemed board.

I know very little about Netezza.

Terradata is a good niche product for deailing with very specialized processing needs. When you need to create very large relational databases where you can religioiusly control the applications that access your database, Terradata does very well.
