how do i create a link between a Progress database (from a unix server) to a MS Access database?

i've tried using the ODBC data source administrator, and i've specified the DB name and port number (which i obtained from the /etc/services file on the unix machine), but everytime i try to connect, it just hangs - nothing happens

Am I right in thinking you are actually populating Access with data from a Progress database?

If so, you haven't stated which ODBC driver you are using to connect to your Progress db. Please ensure the port you're using is not in use as well.
