Number of DBMS Platforms supported

I would like to find out how many DBMS platforms other companies are supporting. Other info I am interested in include:

- are your DBAs centralized or decentralized (work in & for appl teams)?
- is the design/development DBA functions combined with production DBA functions (backup, recovery, tuning, oncall)?
- for all the DBMS platforms supported - is one more of a standard & more fully supported? or are all pretty equally supported (oncall, disaster recovery, consulting, availability, upgrades, etc)?

I will gladly share our characteristics - just hoping to find someone who can openly discuss too.
