What type of database has 'file.df' and 'file.idx'

What type of database has 'file.df' and 'file.idx'

My client has a 5 year old SCO unix system running a Point Of Sale network off it and it appears that the "data" part of the database is one giant file (66 mb) called "database.df" and one giant index file (127 mb) called "database.idx".

I'd like to dump out the database but I don't even know what type it is.

Any ideas?
