[Firebird] Delete records

I've to delete records from a table whit this query:

DELETE FROM TABLE_NAME
WHERE TABLE_FIELD = 'ABCDE'

This works great but the database' file doesn't reduce the size.
How can i reduce the size of db' file?

Backup and restore, replacing the database file.
