"Data Provider for .NET" question

Is it possible to populate a DataSet object at design time in VS.NET, to be able to use view the data in a report designer?

Any help will be greatly appreciated, thanks!

I haven't tried. Which report desigener are you using? Also, are you getting an error or no results?

I'm using the trial version of DevExpress XtraReports v1.6.0.0 ...

But the issue is not really with the report designer, I guess the problem is the fact that the provider does not have have the "Generate Dataset..." nor the "Preview Data..." options implemented at design time, as does the OleDbDataAdapter object.

Thanks!

It's probably the same reason you can't use the Data Adapter Wizard with the Pervasive (or any non-Microsoft ADO.NET provider). Microsoft didn't document how to use all the wizards.
