Attn: Dilyias and Mirtheil (creating index) One more time...

Man, the board has been acting strange. Thanks for the quick responses in my other post. I have been out of town for the last week, so I have just began looking at this again. I logged onto the server, and I am unable to find the Control Center application. I have tried creating the index via VB6 and VB.Net applications using the TimberLineODBCEngine, but I keep getting the "Create Index Statement is not supported" error. Any ideas on how I might be able to create the index on this field?

Thanks,
Jeremy

The PCC is a Pervasive Utility and should be in the Pervasive directory. It's PCC.EXE. You could also look at PVQUERY.EXE (a command line SQL tool) from the Component Zone (http://www.pervasive.com/componentzone).
I've never used the Timberline driver so I don't know it's capabilities. If it's saying "not supported" then it's probably a limitation of the driver.

Hmm, what is the TimberLineODBCEngine? Why are you not using the normal Pervasive ODBC Client Interface?

Also, check out the pervasive docs if you have not. At 8.x it is at [start]->Programs->Pervasive.SQL V8->Documentation->Pervasive.SQL V8

It will explain the proper "pervasive" syntax for everything.

TImberline ships their own rebranded (or custom developed) ODBC driver that is not the same as the Pervasive ODBC driver.
