Does anybody know what this error is caused by. Normally something like this looks like a windows error and will hault the installation. But for some reason it does not stop it installation just keeps going and is causing other problems. Please advise.

While installatin Pervasive V8. on Win 2k error is:
' The instruction at "0*77fcd79a" referenced memory at "0*02b3c270". The memory could not be "written".

What is the process that gives that error message?
What version of V8 (8.1, 8.5, 8.6, 8.7)?
Is anything running on the Win2k box (like Antivirus, antispam, etc)?
Is this the Pervasive install or a third party install?

It is running on third party software but this error is only when PVSW V8.6 is being installed. It is installed alone.

Just a reg. workstation there are other workstations exactly like this one but only this one is producing the error.

Could this be hardware related? Do you think there is a conflict with another program on the machine?
