Btrieve Repair !!

Hello everyone,

thanks for the welcome.

I have a big problem with a Btrieve database.
Btrieve Puntroppo not know, I connect to the database with Access 2.0.

The. Btr size 1.2 GB.
I can only see a few records and then shows me the error that I attach the image.
I am sure that the file is corrupted as you do a rebuild.

Someone help me!

Yes, your file is corrupt. You need to rebuild it or go to a backup that isn't corrupt.
You can use the rebuild utility or BUTIL or WBMANAGE.EXE. It will take some time to rebuild a 1.2GB file.
Using BUTIL, the steps would be:
1. BUTIL -CLONE <newfilename> <oldfilename>
2. BUTIL -COPY <oldfilename> <newfilename>
3. Rename the Original file to .OLD (for archival purposes).
4. Rename the New file to the original filename.

I used the butyl - I have the following error.
"BUTIL-14: The file that caused the error is NAMEFILE.btr.
BUTIL-100: Microkernel error = Router 3012. The remote engine is inac
The Microkernel Router Because the networking component is not load
BUTIL-9: The command did not complete due to an unrecoverable error. "

I hope you can help me

Try running BUTIL either on the machine where the data file is located or copy the data file to your local machine and run BUTIL again.
Also, make sure that you are specifying the full path to the file name.
