If someone likes to get information regarding Brieve's File format, a friend of mine has posted a complete header for native I/O access to read Btrieve files (How to detect Btrieve Page Size).

Also if someone wants to completely read a file without the engine you can check the sources of Btrieve File Saver Utility (SourceForge.net)

After a first look it seems like a nice and handy tool, thanks.

I've written a small C library 2 years ago to read <= 6.15 Btrieve files including DDF support etc..

It's still alpha code but works fine one all my testfiles. Available only via git at git.terminal.io Git - informave/drivers/btrieve/summary
