Need help w/ Msg 86 on Sql 7

We recently upgraded to a new server. Instead of Windows NT we are now using Windows 2000. Somehow we continue to receive Btrieve error 86 and sometimes 3 when more than one user is accesing our accounting Dos software (AMSI) which requires Btrieve to run.

Does anyone know of a fix for this problem? See attached file with exact wording on errors. Thank you.

PS I have downloaded the available service packs from Pervasive's website and installed. No changes to problem at hand.
