Support Novell 6.5

Hi everyone..

A quick History : a customer has always run pervasive on novell 3X , lately we upgraded to the new novell 6 and the database runs quite slower then under 3X... question 1 is it a database conversion problem or an os related issue ... 2nd question : the customer wants to upgrade to novell 6.5 and then he wants to know if there are any Installation issues on migration errors in the upgrade to the new 6.5

any help would be appriciated::

What version of Pervasive? What's slower? Is it slower from the PCC or just the application? How about the network test in the Pervasive System Analyzer? Is it slow? As far as a Network OS upgrade, that's pretty major especially going from 3.x to 6.5. You'll probably want to change more than just the OS, specifically the hardware.

Is it slow?
its slow esp transaction printing Quening takes ages with network printers even locally..

If printing is slower, then the database doesn't have anything to do with it. Printing is handled by the OS and you'll want to contact Novell or your Network Administrator to find out why it's slow.
