Question Access DacEasy data using ODBC or other

Hi,

I need to create an interface to DacEasy (V12) Accounting. I have installed the Developers Tools from Pervasive.com, and I can successfully use the sample database that came with it. However, when I try to set up the DacEasy database using the DDF files in C:\DacEasy\bc\Crystal, I get the following error when clicking Finish:

Cannot create database name. You do not have sufficient access rights for the operation or the destination directory does not exist.

I read in another thread that I could create a new database and then swap the auto-generated DDF files with the ones delivered by DacEasy. When I do that and then try to list the tables I get asked for a login and password. I have tried all of the DacEasy users and their respective passwords, but they do not work. Does DacEasy internally use some kind of login/password?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Best regards,

Joerg.

DacEasy DDF

DacEasy DDF files have owner Names. We can read DacEasy data dictionaries directly. Contact support@classicsoftware.com
