Classes & Server Variables

I am trying to set the values of server variables from methods inside my PHP class modules. The server variables seem to go out of scope when the class file method that set the variables is exited.

Is there a way to set server variables from within class module methods?

As you dind't post the code how you set the variables the following should work with PHP >= 4.1.0

Code:

$_SERVER[<name>] = 'foo';

also look at the putenv-function
