Unhappy Performance degradation after upgrading to 9.0.2

We have seen a 50% performance hit after upgrading to Postgres 9.0.2

Are we missing any new configuration changes with 9.0.2 or does the new version need special performance tuning?

Appreciate your time.

So not so far away version.

How did you recreate database after upgrade? Did you rebuild indexes and gather statistics?

Please show us the query, the tables involved and the corresponding execution plans from the 8.4 and 9.0 version.
