    Unanswered: Multi combos

I'm working on a inventory/sale program in access.

On a form I need some combos. The combos I'm working on right now I need:

Barcode/Upc - Brand -Model- Size -Color (5 combos)

In combo Barcode/Upc lets say I have maybe a table with barcodes
In Brand, Model, Size and Colors lets say I have a table for them as well.
(or would it be better all in one table)

Ok what I need is when I select or enter a barcode in the barcode combo all the other combos will fill with the infromation. (I know how to do the combo for the barcode for all the information to fill in the other combos if everything is in the same table).

The problem I have is: if I don't enter a barcode and if I enter a brand then I need the combo Brand to populate Combo Model only with the models that goes with that brand.

    For example:

Lets say I have: converse, nike, reebok for the brand
and lets say for nike I have model number 1212, 1234, 4434
    and for reebok I have 5656, 4554,2332
and for converse I have 3333,4444,5555

so when I click on combo brand and select nike then combo model should only show nike models and not the others (converse and reebok)

also if I do use multi tables then how would I fill in all the other combos if I just put in the barcode/upc?

I was thinking of just remodify the inventory control database that comes with access.
    (I'm working with access 2003)

If this is possible or if I'm going about this the wrong way I would appreciate a point in the right direction.

    Thanks rham

    rham,

You are very welcome. It's great to be able to point you to write-ups of frequently asked questions, saves me time from having to write it from scratch, and saves you time from having to wait!
