Unanswered: unable to create stored procedure

I tried to create a stored procedure but instead of opening up to a new stored procedure it displays an exist stored procedure. I erased the code and typed in my code now i received this error message.

    MS SQL-DMO (ODBC SQLState:42000)
Error 2729: Procedure ‘spUpdate_date_time’ group number 1 already exists
in the database. Choose another procedure name

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

    Your help is appreciated

    Yeah

Don't build sprocs in Enterprise Manager(EM)

    Use Query Analyzer(QA)

The sprocs are registered in the system catalog, and it still sees the name...

    escape out of the window....

Go back to the sproc list...

    right click on the sproc

    Choose all tasks>generate sql script

    Click preview

    select all the code (ctrl+a)

    Copy the code (ctrl+c)

    Open QA

Paste the code as a template...

    go on your merry way

unable to create a new stored procedure

I think it has something to go with the code attached to the end of the stored procedure to cause the same sp opens up when trying to create a new stored proc.
    SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER OFF
    GO
    SET ANSI_NULLS ON
    GO

can anyone help to set this? I tried deleting it but doesn't work.

    Thanks!
