I have an Oracle table with one of the columns created withe the type of an Oracle object containing 3 fields. Does anyone now how can I access this column through a Java ResultSet? I mean, for classic datatypes like Number and Date I would use getInt and getDate respectivly, but for a composed type like this I can't find a way to store its values from the ResultSet. I already searched the web for clues but the scarce examples I found didn't work.
I also had the same problem when trying to store the values from Java into the Oracle table while using insertStatement() on a preparedStatement object.
How can I define the type to use by the insertStatement() for Oracle object columns? Anyway, I solved this part by creating the insert statement manually (no more use of preparedStatement) but I still don't like this solution.
