    I need to do a backup my database and like to do with onbar, how to do for execute this activity.

    You will find a complete list of reference manuals. One of them covers the topics on backup and recovery, using onbar with storage manager.

    Hi,
    Please look in IBM INFORMIX, BACKUP AND RESTORE GUIDE.
    You need use ISM or XBSA that run on you operating system.

    Hi,

    I login as root and execute ism_startup -init then return, the system close conecction.

    onbar (urgent)

    Hi,

    I am login as root and then execute ism_startup -init, the system show me the followind error.

    -bash: /usr/informix/bin/ism_startup: /bin/ksh: bad interpreter: no such file or directory

    You need to install ksh to get the startup script working.
    If you can't, you will need to edit the script and make it compatible with some other shell, for instance, /bin/sh.
