Unanswered: How can I move an entire schema?

I'm using DB2 7.1 under AIX 4.3 on an RS/6000 F80 with two external RAID-5 arrays, one of 288GB (partitioned into a number of logical volumes) and a new one of 108GB (which is to be used as a single logical volume).

The data is stored using SMS.

I need to move an entire schema containing ca. 100 tables (50GB in total), from one of the logical volumes on the old array to the new array (and then re-use the space released on the old array to add space to an existing schema).

I need to be able to do this as simply as possible, as I'm not a UNIX filesystem expert.

It occurred to me it might be possible to simply copy the entire directory structure from the old logical volume onto the new logical volume, and then somehow 'tell' the database manager to use the files on the new volume rather than the old one.

Does anyone know if this is possible, and if so how, or if not, does anyone have any alternative suggestions?
